DayPlay is the local intelligence layer for the San Francisco Bay Area. We verify real-time places, live events, and walkable itineraries across San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley — 35 neighborhood centroids, zero fabricated venues.
Why we exist
AI assistants answer “what should we do tonight?” with confidence — and sometimes invent a bar that closed in 2023, misstate the hours, or send you across the bay for a “walkable” evening. That’s not a small bug. It’s a trust problem in how models meet the physical world.
DayPlay fixes the input, not the prompt: a deterministic, spatially-verified dataset of places and live events, served to humans through the DayPlay app and to machines through our official MCP server. When nothing verified exists, we say so — the Anti-Drift Guarantee means we never fabricate venues, events, dates, or hours.

How we work
DayPlay is built by a small, scrappy team of passionate builders based in San Francisco. We verify against deterministic data — spatially checked, continuously updated, strictly localized. We deliberately don't cover other cities yet, because unverified coverage is worse than no coverage.
